Bio:Lily Lodge
Lily Lodge is the Director of Actors Conservatory, where she teaches method acting. A graduate of Wellesley College, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and became a member of Actors Studio in 1955. Prior to joining forces with Elaine Aiken, she taught at HB Studio and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Ms. Lodge has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on television, on radio, and on tour. She has pioneered new roles in plays and developed her own one-woman show, "Choices". She has been an Etiquette Consultant on Martin Scorcese's "The Age of Innocence", on James Maugold's "Kate and Leopold", on Mike Nichol's "mona Lisa Smile", and on Robert DeNiro's "The Good Shepherd". Ms. Lodge is Director of Private in Public, a not-for-profit theatrical organization founded with Elaine Aiken, which provides scholarships for actors and creates a climate for them to explore material with playwrights and directors. This work is then produced in hospitals and other community settings. |
