Review:St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center Performance
Dear Ms. Lodge, In behalf of the patients and staff of the St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, specifically the In-patient psychiatric unit, I want to express my warm gratitude to you and your entire organization for the wonderful theater presentation of "Lunchtime" by Leonard Melfi on November 1, 1996. Since the Clark 9 unit of 32 patients is a locked unit for the acute and chronic psychiatrically ill persons who receive treatment services within a multidisciplinary concept, i.e. medical, nursing, Occupational and Creative Arts Therapies, social services, having representatives from the larger community give support through one's own unique manner, such as yours, is always appreciated. Everyone was able to quickly recognize the extent of work and dedication that you and your members had given prior to presentation. The discipline required for preparation of the play is to be admired and acknowledged. You provided the first opportunity for our patients to appreciate "Live Theatre" which, I am sure, gave them much-needed encouragement in their long process and struggle to get better. Again, thank you very much for your interest and commitment to providing professional, meaningful, and much-needed support to our patients.
Sincerely, Aileen E. Yamaguchi, M.P.H., O.T.R./L
